Why Coaching?

Everyone has their own special reasons for engaging with coaching. I came to coaching to discover how I could root myself in purpose-centered work that has the ability to make a direct and meaningful impact in my various communities including my family. After being active in purpose-centered work for the last 25 years, I found myself realizing that I needed to have a clearer and more distinct vision for my present and future to gracefully achieve what I came here to do.

I see my role as a Coach as a collaborative partnership with the Client — a give and take and trusting relationship with compassion at the center. The creation of breathing room allows for many possibilities for those on a journey to contribute to their communities, to care for themselves and their families, and to live truly joyful lives.

Paramount to my practice is the support of clients to find what gives them clarity, focus, ease, and grace. I help clients make room to move forward with their visions and goals by disrupting their anxiety and engage with clients about what is most meaningful to them even in these challenging times. I firmly believe that we are all here to make a contribution to our families and communities, and supporting contributors is one of my key visions.

In my coaching relationships, I also support clients by developing strategies and solutions that move them through obstacles and toward goals that reflect their most valued aspirations and intentions, and by creating structure and certainty during the coaching process. The willingness of the coachee is another central theme to this dynamic partnership and key to taking authentic action.

Highlighted areas for coaching (but certainly not an exhaustive list!):

  • Career changes and transitions

  • Support in new or existing leadership roles, professional or volunteer

  • Strengthening relationships, professional or personal

  • Seeking support to achieve a specific vision or goal

  • Those opening a new business or a budding entrepreneur

  • Anyone needing a BREAKTHROUGH in any part of their life!

When I first envisioned this inclusive coaching practice it was clear to me that providing a sliding scale fee system would be a priority. Meeting people where they are at is one of the keys to a successful coaching relationship. Change leaders are often met with challenging situations and creating the pathway to Coaching should not be one of those challenges.

In addition I provide sliding scale rates for nonprofit and advocacy organizations based on their budget size. As a long time nonprofit professional and consultant, I fully appreciate the intricacies of an organization's budget.

Coaching Services

Each coaching relationship is unique, confidential, and designed to meet the client’s needs. I am pleased to offer Individual, Team and Group, and Organizational Coaching.

Individual Coaching

Through Individual Coaching, I support purpose-centered professionals, volunteers, and activists by providing a trusted and confidential support system. My clients include those who work in cause and community related issues who often find themselves with demanding schedules and thus little time for personal and professional development.

What to Expect

Individual Coaching sessions are typically 50 minutes in length and include client prep work with guided exercises and tools. Coaching exercises and prep work are intended to enhance the overall experience and to maximize our time together. Clients are asked to bring a coaching topic on where they need support, clarity, focus, ease, and/or grace.

Coaching topics vary greatly, and may include relationships in the workplace or community, personal finances, spending more quality time with family, taking a long dreamed-about vacation, deciding to go back to school, or even buying/selling a home!
